ORMOND BEACH HISTORICAL SOCIETY

VOLUNTEER HOURS OPPORTUNITY

If you are interested in learning about landscaping this is the opportunity for you!

The Ormond Beach Historical Society (OBHS) has a need for volunteers to help in the garden at the Anderson-Price Memorial Building located at 42 North Beach Street in Ormond Beach.

There is already a group of OBHS volunteers, called the Garden Gang, that meet monthly to do weeding, trimming, mulching and other light landscape work. The Garden Gang meets at 8 am the first Saturday of each month. Student volunteers are welcome to join us. We are usually done in about one hour. While helping with landscape upkeep, you will learn about the history of Ormond Beach, shrubbery trimming tips, plant identification and much more. Gloves and gardening tools will be provided. Participants will be working outdoors so should bring a hat, water and sunscreen, and wear closed toes shoes (sneakers are fine).

If you have questions and/or are interested in participating, please email Pat Gertenbach at gertenbachp01@gmail.com. In the subject please put: Garden Gang help.
